Weight Loss Package
If you’re looking for the most personalized weight loss clinic San Diego has to offer, you’re looking for Aspire Regenerative. Our weight loss package includes access to cutting-edge technology and integrative doctors that tailor treatment to your needs, goals, and unique chemical makeup.
How Is This Approach to Weight Loss Unique?
The Aspire Regenerative weight loss package was crafted around the core principles of support and accountability. We start our treatment plan with the InBody Scale which provides precision diagnostics that our doctors use to develop your unique care plan. We monitor progress each step of the way, so our doctors can make adjustments any time it’s necessary.
Using a combination of EMSculpt treatments, personalized exercise regimens, and supplements, this weight loss package helps patients not only build muscle and burn fat, but increase their metabolic rate (burn more calories at rest). Our program provides dietary education, teaches patients how to track progress, and provides the tools needed to maintain a healthy lifestyle going forward.
What Should I Expect If I Enroll in the Aspire Regenerative Weight Loss Package?
This program is tailored to each individual patient. While no two packages are exactly the same, they are built on the same foundation:
Our program begins with a 90 minute consultation in our weight loss center. During this initial visit one of our weight loss doctors will perform a comprehensive physical analysis using the InBody scale and order laboratory tests (blood work) to get an in-depth picture of your unique body composition. At this time, your doctor will also screen for sleep apnea, depression, anxiety, and complete all necessary check-ups required to clear you for EMSculpt treatments.
When you return for your first follow-up appointment with your doctor, they will check-in, go over your lab results, provide nutrition counseling as well as exercise counseling, and complete a second Inbody Scale analysis. After this, all doctor follow-up appointments consist of a check-in and InBody scale analysis to closely monitor your progress. These appointments are a time to ask your doctor questions and provide feedback, so that adjustments can be made if necessary.
Based on your personal weight loss goals, InBody Scale analysis, blood work and medical history, a combination of the following treatments are utilized to help you achieve your desired results.
Weigh-Ins - Patients receive weekly weigh-ins for the first 3 weeks and then every other week after that throughout the 8-10 week program. We use the InBody Scale to accurately determine the weight, body fat, muscle mass, and water weight of each region of a patient’s body. Weigh-ins only takes a few minutes and will help your doctor accurately determine the following:
- If you’re staying hydrated
- The overall health of your cells
- How much fat you’ve lost and in which regions of the body
- How much muscle mass you’ve gained and in which regions of the body
- How many calories your body is burning at rest
Dietary Counseling - Our doctors provide education and dietary counseling to help patients make effective eating choices. By incorporating nutrient-dense low calorie foods into their diet and adopting strategies associated with a MediterrAsian diet, patients are able to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle going forward.
Intermittent Fasting - Our doctors and clinicians teach patients how to utilize short term fasting techniques which have been shown to boost metabolic rates, burn more calories, and reduce the amount of calories a person consumes.
Sleep Tracker - Lack of sleep can negatively impact a patient’s ability to lose weight, so our doctors monitor patients’ sleep patterns during the course of this treatment plan through the use of a Fitbit.
Sleep Analysis - This is not necessary for all patients, but in the event that a patient is not getting adequate rest, the doctor may order a sleep study for a more in-depth analysis.
EMSculpt - EMSculpt is a non-invasive treatment that uses High-Intensity Focused Electromagnetic (HIFEM®) technology to cause intense supramaximal contracts in a specific muscle group, such as the abdomen or buttox. This machine helps tone muscles and burn fat with no down time.
Fiber Supplement - Our doctors often recommend fiber supplements to help patients feel full while they are on certain diets or practicing fasting.
Exercise - If you do not already have one, our clinicians will refer you to a personal trainer who can create a workout routine best suited to your current level of fitness. Working one-on-one with a certified trainer is the best way to make progress safely and effectively.
Additional Supplements and Medications - Based on your blood work results, InBody scale measurements, medical history, current medications, and in-person consultation with your doctor, the following supplements or medications may be prescribed.
- Weight loss supplements
- Thyroid medications
- Weight loss medications
Hydration - It is imperative that patients in any weight loss program are getting enough water. Staying hydrated helps rid the body of toxins, lubricates joints, protects tissues, and much more. Our doctors go over exactly how much water you should be drinking in a day and help you manage your intake with an easy-to-use hydration app.
Sweet Stop Supplement - For patients with a sweet tooth, doctors may recommend a supplement to alleviate these cravings.
Transdermal Glucometer - When available a doctor may use a transdermal glucometer to monitor a patient’s blood sugar.
How Intermittent Fasting Helps with Weight Loss
Intermittent fasting for weight loss is one of the most exciting recent developments in this field. While the concept of fasting occasionally isn’t a new one, this trend focuses on incorporating fasts as part of a regular eating pattern.
If you’re wondering, what is intermittent fasting, the first thing to note is that it’s different from a typical diet that limits the number of calories you consume every day. Instead, calorie restriction is only limited to certain periods of time, and you can eat normally outside of that. In other words, it’s all in the timing.
There is a multi-pronged effect intermittent fasting has on weight loss. First, you're naturally eating fewer calories when you fast on a regular basis. On top of that, there’s the hormonal factor. How does intermittent fasting affect hormones? It encourages increased production of norepinephrine, a hormone that helps the body burn fat. Intermittent fasting can also increase your levels of human growth hormone (HGH), which promotes an increase in muscle mass as well as fat loss. Finally, intermittent fasting can help lower your insulin levels so that the body burns stored fat for energy.
It’s also noteworthy that intermittent fasting benefits extend beyond weight loss. Studies indicate there may be a link between fasting regularly and certain health outcomes, such as:
- Cellular repair for protection against diseases
- A potential reduction in LDL, or “bad,” cholesterol that can lead to heart disease
- Decreased inflammation in the body, which may help with arthritis and other health conditions
- Potential preventive benefits against cancer
- Improved cognitive health with elevated levels of the hormone brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF)
- Increased metabolism
- Decreased blood sugar levels
- Elimination of damaged cells or toxins from the body
- Alteration in gene function that may promote a longer life span
Intermittent fasting for fat loss can take several forms, and we can help you choose the one that works best for you. The most common methods:
- The 16/8 (aka Leangains)
With this plan, eating takes place within an 8- to 10-hour window, and the other 14 to 16 hours of the day are spent fasting. For instance, you can choose to eat from noon to 8 p.m., then fast from 8 p.m. to noon the next day. Many people like this option because the bulk of the fasting period takes place overnight when they typically wouldn’t be eating anyway. This is Aspire Regenerative’s preferred fasting method as it is both pragmatic and effective.
- The 5:2
Pick 2 days of the week (not back to back) and limit your food intake to 500 to 600 calories. Eat normal meals, with no calorie limits, on the other days.
- Alternate Fasting
This concept is simple: Just eat regular meals one day, then fast (consuming about 500 calories) the next.
- The Warrior Diet (aka the 20:4)
This variation on intermittent fasting is slightly different than the others. Instead of consuming a set number of calories during the fasting period, you eat fresh, raw produce in small amounts. The fast usually takes place during the day, and then, for four hours at night, you can eat one large meal.
Success in intermittent fasting requires some discipline. You need to stick to the eating patterns, of course, but you also can’t overeat or snack during the non-fast times because that can erase your calorie deficit. And you should also follow a nutritious eating plan for your meals, with foods that promote healthy weight loss. At Aspire, we can help you develop eating patterns that support intermittent fasting to find the greatest weight-loss success.
